Hi there! I’m Camille Cortez, 19 years old from Antipolo City. I love working as a singer and helping my mom in everything. What’s inside my mind right now: This contest “Are You The Next Big Star?” changed my life. It made me more busy and learn things everyday. It makes me think big and gives me hope that I can reach my goals. On the other hand, what I really want is to have regular shows and good income(of course, haha!) and finish my studies. I want to be known as a Jazz singer which I cannot do for now. But it makes me feel good that in this contest, I could show my versatility and continue pleasing and inspiring the viewers and bring out uniqueness in my own style. I started singing professionally at the age of 15. At first, I was a solo performer, then eventually I decided to have my own group. I felt that it’s more fun singing with a band. I had performed in different bars, hotels, company events, weddings, birthdays and elections. My mom is my handler since I started singing. She taught me the basic of singing and performing until she told me that my own talent will lead me to my own style. And it happened. I joined the contest in GMA 7’s Pinoy Pop Superstar when I was 16 years old. I was also included in the Call Back Special. What else can I say…. I am the only child and so loved by my mom. I hate cooking. I don’t think that’s my thing. Hahaha! I love eating, Now that’s so me. About my spiritual aspects, I am a Born Again Christian and I attend regular services in Robinsons Galleria and lately in Robinsons Metro East. This is simply Camille with BIG DREAMS…… facing life with a “BIG GOD”. |
